Holarrhena antidysentrica

It is considered as one of the most effective remedy for treating gastrointestinal diseases such as dysentery and diarrhea in infectious and non-infectious conditions. Holarrehena antidysenterica has broad spectrum antibacterial activity. Extract of the Holarrehena antidysenterica is highly effective in controlling the E.coli, Shigella, Staphylococcus and Salmonella paratyphi-B pathogens responsible for diarrhea.

Azadirachta indica

Three tricyclic diterpenoids -margolone, margolonone and iso-margolonone present in neem act against Klebsiella, Staphylococcus and Serratia species of bacteria.

Embelia ribes

It contains a phenolic compoundEmbelinwhich possesses anti-helminthic activity which help to treat helminthic infestation.

Piper longum

It contains piperine along with other active compounds and this possesses anti amoebic activity.

Aegle marmelos

It possesses anti-diarrheal, anti-microbial, anti-viral, ulcer healing, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Mode of Action

It acts on the Cryptosporidium and Entamoeba histolytica, which are inflammatory to the stomach. It eradicates the parasite before further absorption on the absorptive surface. Its study against Giardia antigen is well known. Researches has shown this combination of Aegle marmelos, Pipli, Karela, Tulsi and Berberis aristata to have powerful anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-protozoal, anti-helminthic properties. Karela has been used for treatment of parasites and worms. Repeated studies have shown Aegel marmelos to be effective against amoebic parasites & gastrointestinal upset.
